The Bible specifically mention separate languages after the Flood with Noah's three sons and before the story of Babel. Therefore, the Story of Babel in my opinion is based on a more intangible language. Something Deeper than words or utterance.
It says, let us go and confuse their language. Maybe prior to that we had a deeper connection where we didn't have the complication of articulating our ideas.
I can't speak for other races, but I do know that within my race of African American, we tend to over exaggerated to explain the importance of a thing. Maybe it's not just limited to my race, because we live in an ALMOST lying world. Where the commercials exaggerate a product. Where Reality Shows and Soap Opera exaggerate the drama to keep us intrigued.
There was once this shampoo commercial that had a woman washing her hair in the shower and having an orgasmic experience, as to say that THIS SHAMPOO will make one have the same experience. And let's not forget the SPEEDING SHINING NEW CAR, knowing in real life it's against the law to speed that way and rarely do we have an open road to do so.
We are a nation of liars anyway you look at it. Stretching the truth is still a lie. It is a norm.
So, what if we didn't have to really lie or stretch the truth?
What if telling someone their breath stinks, didn't make you feel bad or make them feel embarrassed?
Maybe we were more Child-minded. Children can say things to each other without any offense.
Back to point, something definitely happened to our communication, be it some magical beings in the sky or a drawback of becoming a Civil Community. We lost something and the people of ancient times knew this. They tried to describe it in the Bible.
Let me ask, have you ever experience love or like at first sight. I have. When my daughter's father and I first saw each other there was some kind of chemistry, something words can't explain. It wasn't love or lust. It was an attraction. As if my biological self knew he would be a procreational match. Although him and I weren't suited to be an actual couple, we did enjoy our brief encounter and we are still good friends to this day. YES just friends, with NO benefits.
What I experience with my daughter's father is a pure example of an underlining communication that we still can't put into words. Also as a side note, my daughter has an old soul and is meant to be here. At the age of 12 she gave an impromptu Eulogy at my grandmothers funeral, that moved everyone there. I also feel that her father has a strong insightful personality. He's oozes charisma. I love him now when I didn't love him then.
If I was to sum up the Babel Confusion in one word, it would be TRIBAL. The confusion of the language is the enhancement of our division. To be fair, many animals, specially primates, felines, and canines have a grouping nature, usually tied to family clusters. However, due to our intelligence mixed with ability to communicate on a higher level than we are on now, that tribalness wasn't as strong as it became. It's actually still happening.
Tribalness, is now a big part of the malnipulation of man. We have adapted that attribute, regardless if it started from magic beings in the sky or a freak happenstance within a civil community.
Further proof in my opinion is the Mark of Cain. Was it a physical sign or an aire about him. I think the latter. What physical sign could God put on a forehead for them NOT to kill Cain? Was it like some type of STOP SIGN? No, it was a countenance, a known threat NOT to mess with this man. Let him wander wherever he wants.
The meaning is not in the historic fact of a biblical story, it's the deeper meaning behind the stories themselves.
Regardless of our tribes, be it social status or race, we have managed to build our towers anyway. Whatever we lost in the GREAT CONFUSION is gone...for now. It has been replaced with Ego and a whole stew of other personality traits.
In closing, tribalness, will always be negative. You must realize even within ourselves we have division. The solution could be a singular alignment with self. Once you are aligned with the Energy that binds all things, than another will do the same. We are of one tribe, within and without and we CAN save our race, one soul at a time.
